The pinafore, a type of apron with more fabric over the shoulders than a conventional full or bib apron, often features decorative ruffles or 'wings' of fabric above the shoulder. Pinafores are not worn merely for work but as attractive garments that can be trimmed with ribbons or bows.

Our 1910s Reproduction Edwardian Maid dress was first intended to be worn at Costume College in 2015, with others also dressed up as maids based on the Downton Abbey television series, but was not finished in time for that event. It was later worn to the Greater Bay Area Costume Guild Open House in January 2016, where the maid outfit was a success and very recognizable, even attracting more male attention than usual.
